Boreas Quartett Bremen

Experiments with sound and space are a central theme of the concerts of BQB. In a wide variety of programs, the quartet performs with great virtuosity, making use of a carefully considered instrumentarium chosen from its rich collection consisting of 50 recorders of different sizes and built by the best makers in the world, making each and every concert an unforgettable happening.

They provide a feast for both the eyes and the ears and serve as a convincing plea in honour of the instrument.
The wide-ranging repertoire of medieval dances, polyphony from the Renaissance, Baroque virtuosity and contemporary master pieces creates a dazzling spectrum of sound. The four musicians met at the Conservatory of Music in Bremen where they studied under the tutelage of Professor Han Tol.
